Public Address PA Horn

Public Address PA Horn

If you're looking to give your CB the ability to use it's built-in PA functionality this speaker is the easiest way to do just that. This PA speaker comes with everything you need if you already have the CB. If you have a PA compatable CB radio, take a look at the back of the radio. You should see two speaker jacks, the one marked PA is where you will plug this speaker into, after that simply flip the CB/PA switch on the front of your radio and you'll have your very own public address system!

We are commonly asked just what public address speakers are used for; when it comes to your CB using an external PA speaker will allow you to:
  • Listen to your CB outside of your vehicle
  • Allow you to broadcast your voice through the horn
This becomes very useful in environments where you need to listen to your CB while not inside of it, or in similar situations (like workplace) where you need your voice projected over a wide area, much like a bullhorn or megaphone.

  • Review: This speaker works OK if the engine is off but can barely be heard when the engine is running. Also, the mounting tab broke off leaving the speaker hanging by the wire. I would not recommend this speaker.

  • Review: I was not satisfied with this speaker. I put this speaker under the hood of a jeep and it seems to get compleatly muffeled out with the engin is on. When the engin is off it can be bearly be heard. I dont know why my speaker is not louder like the the other reviewer's speakers.

  • Review: Beware the plastic mounting tab on the horn will eventually break off due to vibration.

  • Review: Sound quality is great under the hood while the engine is running. There is no interference through the PA even if your CB radio has noise/static. Switch your CB's option from "CB" to "PA," turn your CB's volume all the way down but leave your CB on (of course), and speak into your mic. It doesn't matter what CB channel you're on. And, with my Cobra 29WXNWST, I could control the volume of my voice with my RF Gain knob.
