What is a slipseat radio box?
Slipseat radio boxes are generally used by the trucking community, specifically with drivers that constantly switch trucks. Pre-cut Stereo Radio Opening: The stereo opening is pre-cut and ready to accomodate any single din stereo, this is a standard size ready for most mobile stereo radios
Pre-cut CB Opening: Designed to accomodate any CB radio and most 10 meter radios. Not compatable with 10 meter radios with a bottom heat sink.
Pre-cut Stereo Speaker Openings: On the left and right side of the box a 5.25" diameter opening has been cut to allow for the installation and use for a single pair of 6.5" stereo speakers.
Pre-cut CB Speaker Opening: On the front of the box a single 4" diameter opening has been cut to allow for a CB speaker, we've found the Cobra HGS100 speaker, split in half, fit's perfectly in this opening.
Carrying Handle: Makes moving the box a snap.
Dual Clasped Bottom Door: The base of the box pivots open from rear installed hinges, this door will lock shut via two latches
Pre-drilled Antenna Connector Opening: A single opening on the side of the box has been drilled to allow an antenna connector like the UG363 to be installed.
Pre-drilled 3-pin Power Jack Opening: This box is typically powered by a single 3-pin power jack (sold seperately). An opening pre-cut for a standard 3-pin power jack like the CBJ3B has already been cut for you.
